January 28, 2012

What am I gonna do when they grow up and I no longer
walk into a room and see stuff like this?
Call me sappy, but I sure am going to miss it.

Adam & his new cousin, Inez.
A lot of people on the other side of her family
claim that she looks like Adam.
I never could see it until I looked at this picture.
She does look somewhat like his baby pictures.
Only she looks completely different in person!

January 21st

Smoothies & popcorn are a weekend staple around here.
We usually reserve them for Sunday nights but this
Saturday just seemed like a smoothie day.

January 12th

Adam loves to get the Ad Pack each week.
I take the grocery ads to look for sales and he takes the
rest to read about the lost/found/for sale animals.
All he needs is a mug of coffee and he'd look like
an old man.

January 11th

Another new niece.
The second in eight days!
Her name is Genevieve.
My brother calls her his "little red skin".
We call her Eve.

January 10th

This girl wants to be more like Mommy every day.
She also wants to be more independent.
She was sure she had to have on the headband while she
brushed her teeth...
HERSELF!
No help from Mommy needed thank you very much.

January 9th

Terah's boys came to play so their mommy
could have some time with their new baby sister.
There is nothing better than a day with your
cousins-turned-best-friends.
And although Adam & Jude are more alike in
personality, Rowan & Jude have similar interests.
Namely, Pixar Cars.

January 7th

A combined birthday party always seems like the best bet.
They were supposed to have a farm themed cake
but I didn't order what I needed in time.
I think they still had a blast.

January 6th

We can't go wrong with buying our oldest boy Star Wars.
Happy 7th birthday big guy!
We love you.

January 4th

The year of the lego.
I am pretty sure that's what 2012 will be.

December 25, 2011

Nintendo DS Lite.
The perfect Christmas gift.
At least as far as the boys are concerned.
I believe it is their favorite gift up to this point.
And I have never been so excited about giving them
a Christmas gift.
I could hardly wait for them to open them up.
And the one gift under the tree rule turned out beautifully.
We were able to get them something a little bit nicer than years past
because we only got them one.
The best part:
their excitement.

Christmas cookies are so fun!
And messy.
Avril enjoyed herself for quite some time.
Don't worry, most of her "cookies" were tossed.
Mainly due to the fact that she cut & re-cut & dropped a lot on the floor.
Some of them did make it to the cookie sheet under
careful supervision.

December 20, 2011

Up early so he didn't have to wait until Daddy got home to open
his gifts.
"Oh! This is just what I've always wanted!"
He exclaimed as he tore back the paper and viewed his
pirate ship.
So began his life as a five-year-old.
Happy Birthday Rowster!

December 2011

As part of their countdown to christmas, I bought the kids
some Christmas suncatchers to paint.
They thoroughly enjoy every sort of craft
so this was a hit.

December 2011

Rowan's robots.
Or should we say Row-bots?

December 11, 2011

Although we used a more "posed" shot for our
Christmas card, this one was among my favorites.
Daddy sure knows how to get these guys to giggle.

December 6, 2011

Avril found her "sweet spot" while we decorated the tree.
