June 2011

It's a little hard to see but Rowan has a heart-shaped
cookie cutter under his shirt.

"Mommy, this is my heart. Know why it's so big?"

"Why Buddy?"

"Because I gave it to God."

It almost made me cry. I long for the day that my little loves
truly understand what it means to give their hearts to God Almighty.

Adam was reading a book to Rowan and their cousin Cara.
Yes, he was reading it word for word!
How big my boy is getting.
Can you tell he has captured their attention?

The boys were helping Jay dig holes for my
new clothesline.
Yay!
I have wanted one for eight years and my dreams are coming true.
If only it would stop raining...

May 2011

My little blanket burritos watching their movie
on a chilly May morning.
Snug as a bug in a rug.

Busily drawing Larry Boy.
A favorite past-time around here.

May 2011

Wild flowers.
Hand picked by my oldest boy.
Roots and all.
More beautiful than a dozen long-stemmed roses
professionally arranged.
And they last a really long time when they still have roots.

She thinks she's helping.
In a way she is. She's happy while I cook dinner.
No, the boots on the counter were not my idea.
They are just a trademark of Avril.
Sadly she has almost outgrown them.

May 2011

My little evil-kin-evil.
Running through our house has it's hazards.
This girl got quite the shiner when she tripped and hit her face on our
bookcase.
Luckily Grami was there to rescue her and love on her until Mommy
reached her.

The boys have a new favorite household chore.
Making their own breakfast.
I love their concentration.
I love their akward handling of the butter knives.
Oh that I could hold onto these days forever!

May 2011

Out my back window.

What do I see?
I see my broken lilac bush.
I see Jay's shed.
I see green grass.
I see dump trucks & wagons & bikes.
I see sunshine.
I see two of my loves basking in it's warmth.
I see blessings.

This is Rowan's happy face.

May 3rd, 2011

Daddy's birthday and guess who's visiting.
Mimi & Papa Steve.
What a great gift for Daddy.
The boys were having fun helping Mimi pick out a
ringtone for her phone.
